"Friday Scribbles", 2009

This piece is based on a typology of scribbles that appeared in a column in the Village Voice, a New York City tabloid. The weekly column highlights found texts written on a variety of surfaces around the city. A scribble can be defined as "a carelessly or hurriedly produced piece of writing or drawing". Like a photograph, it is a message without a code.
