Bath House Cultural Center, Dallas TX
The yellow walls, pink floor, and warm light from the high windows of the Bath House gallery inspired me to create an installation reminiscent of a childhood classroom or museum archive. "Jot That Down!" consisted of sculptural assemblages and wall works made of clay, fabric, furniture, and objects. The works are based on a variety of written source materials, including books, essays, newspaper articles, song lyrics, movie and television scripts, personal and published lists, and recorded conversations. |
