The idea for "Blitz" originated as I was leafing through a pile of back issues of ArtForum magazine. Looking at the images reminded me of certain days when I would head out to the actual galleries to do what I called a blitz of current art being shown. Other ideas associated with the word blitz seem apropos as well. According to the Thesaurus, blitz is a noun, whose meanings include the following:
1. the 1940 blitz on London, bombardment, bombing, onslaught, barrage, attack, assault, raid, strike, blitzkrieg.
2. an expensive new marketing blitz, campaign, effort, operation, undertaking. |
